Privacy Policy

  1. Who we are. SiteChecker (Private Clients Advisory (Pty) Ltd) is the responsible party for your personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
  2. What we collect. Account details (name, email, phone, password); billing details (processed by Paystack - we do not store full card details); registrant details for domains (name or company name, ID or company registration number, address, email, phone - required by the registry); technical data (IP address, usage logs).
  3. Why we collect it. To provide and bill for our services, register domains on your behalf, comply with registry requirements, provide support, and meet legal obligations.
  4. Who we share it with. Only as needed to deliver the service: our payment processor (Paystack), our accredited domain registry channel, our email provider (MailerSend), our AI provider (Anthropic), Google (only if you connect your Google account), and our infrastructure providers. We do not sell your personal information.
  5. AI website builder. When you use the AI website builder, the answers, logo and photos you give us are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to design your site. They are used only to build and change your site.
  6. Google account connection. If you choose to connect your Google account, we ask Google for your email address and permission to manage Search Console and site verification for you. We use this only to add your websites to your own Search Console, prove you own them, and submit their sitemaps. We do not read your other Google data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell or share it. We store Google's access token encrypted and delete it when you click Disconnect Google; you can also remove our access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. SiteChecker's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
  7. Domain WHOIS. Certain registrant details may appear in public WHOIS records as required by the registry. This is a condition of registering a domain.
  8. Security. We use encryption, access controls, and reputable processors. No system is perfectly secure; we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
  9. Retention. We keep your information while you are a customer and as long as needed for legal, tax, and registry obligations afterwards.
  10. Your rights. Under POPIA you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and object to processing. Email hello@sitechecker.co.za. You may also complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa).
  11. Cross-border. Some processors may process data outside South Africa; we use providers that offer adequate protection.
